With Holidays Comes Stress

The holidays are a time to enjoy.  A time to spend with your family and friends.  A time of cooking, shopping, and decorating.  For many of us it is also a time for giving.  Giving of our time and energy, our talents, gifts and donations.  With all that the holidays bring, it also brings stress, anxiety, and even depression.  Our “To Do” list grows and there may seem to not be enough hours in the day = to stress/anxiety.

Do yourself a favor.  Try taking Vitamin D3, 2,000 IUs daily along with your multivitamin.  Vitamin D3 gives your brain nerves vital nutrients that can make you feel happier!  A study done by the University of Texas shows that by combining the vitamin D3, multivitamin, and breakfast can knock out depression up to 50% .

The Amazing Substance That Promotes Detoxification, Therapy For Fibromyalgia & Relieves Arthritis Is…

SAMe

SAMe ,which is short for S-adenosylmethionine, is an amino acid.  It is used as a treatment for a wide range of conditions.  From fibromyalgia, depression, arthritis, Parkinson’s, osteoarthritis, migraine headaches and more!  A healthy liver produces as much as 8 grams a day of SAMe.  The problem lies when you overuse prescription drugs or even over-the-counter drugs or maybe you have a liver disease or osteoarthritis.  When these factors come in to play, that’s when your body isn’t able to naturally produce enough SAMe on it’s own.

SAMe is pretty important for your liver because glutathione is synthesized from it.  For your liver to function properly it must have the Glutathione.   When a healthy liver produces the SAMe it is then turned into glutathione which is the liver’s natural antioxidant (pretty big deal, right?)  You want to take good care of your liver considering it is the primary organ involved in ridding the body of poisons.  And you probably have already guessed that SAMe plays a big role in the detoxification process.

A New Zealand study concluded that SAMe supplements helped restore normal liver function in people with chronic liver diseases! (And that’s including alcoholic & non-alcoholic cirrhosis)!  The study also concluded that SAMe worked to protect and even reverse liver damage from drugs, alcohol, acetaminophen, steroids, and lead toxins.

Studies have also shown that SAMe is one of the safest treatments for depression.  Depression can go along with Fibromyalgia.  Test studies have shown great success using SAMe to treat fibromyalgia along with depression, fatigue and tender points that go along with fibromyalgia.  To make good news even better, it was well tolerated in all patients with no adverse side effects.

Arthritis relieve can come from using SAMe supplements.  Prescription drugs & over-the-counter medicines can put astrain on both the stomach and liver, SAMe has no toxicity and even boosts cell detoxification in liver cells.

Here is some more conditions which may benefit from taking SAMe supplements:

Acute and Chronic Hepatitis

Addison’s Disease

Alcoholism

Alzheimer’s Disease

Cirrhosis

Depression (not manic-depressive)

Gilbert’s Syndrome

Heart Disease

Heavy Metal Poisoning

Migraines

Parkinson’s Disease

Psychiatric Illness

Senile Dementia

Sleep Disorders

As always, check with your doctor before trying a new supplement.

Melt Holiday Stress Away!

Relax and unwind as the stress and added holiday tension melts away.  Relieving stress is as simple as taking a bath.  That is…. a lavender salt bath!  Stress works on your body and mind, so treat both areas with a soothing lavender salt bath that is a breeze to mix up yourself.

Lavender calms your nerves because it is rich in an essential oil called linalool that actually releases stress from your central nervous system.

For all of those tired and achy muscles, lavender is known for it’s anti-inflammatory features that will give your muscles the much needed relief they need.

As a BONUS – lavender is great to relieve sinus pressure  and used to treat eczema!!!

1 Tablespoon of  Lavender Tea (not brewed)

2 cups of Epsom Salt

Store in a jar.

Just simply pour a scoop of lavender salt into your bath & relax for at least 10 minutes.

or

If Your NOT A Fan Of Lavender, Try A Chamomile Milk Bath Instead…..

1 Tablespoon of Chamomile Tea (not brewed)

1 Tablespoon of Powdered Milk

Cheesecloth

Place the Chamomile Tea & Powdered Milk in the cheesecloth & tie it up like a sachet.  Place the sachet in your bath & soak for at least 15 minutes.

Chamomile relieves anxiety and helps to relax your mind.  This would be a great way to unwind before going to bed to get a good night’s rest.

Also, this is the time of the year when people suffer with colds the most.  It doesn’t help when your body gets run down by working long hours and just everyday stress.  Take 15 minutes and relax in the tub instead of taking a quick shower.  You may be surprised at how much better you feel. A wonderful thing  about Chamomile is it works as an antibacterial to relieve cold symptoms such as coughing and achy muscles!

4.  Cramps

5.  Insomnia
